Minnesota Vikings Fans Love Aaron Jones… but Not Like His Former QB Does
The Minnesota Vikings had a running back problem last year. The Minnesota Vikings don’t have a running back problem this year. The difference? Aaron Jones. As much as his new team, and fans, love him, nothing compares to how Aaron Rodgers feels about him.
Aaron Rodgers is a huge fan of Minnesota Vikings Aaron Jones
Before Aaron Jones came to the Minnesota Vikings, he played for the Green Bay Packers. Although his quarterback last season was Jordan Love, it was Aaron Rodgers for the vast majority of his career. Making an appearance on the Pat McAfee show, the New York Jets quarterback shared his fondness of Jones.
"Aaron Jones is one of my all time favorite teammates and he's a special human..

He's a great player and you always feel good when he's on the football field with you"@AaronRodgers12 #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/A01d8QXjNk
“Aaron Jones. Jonesy is one of my all-time favorite teammates. There’s nobody like Jonesy. He is a special, special human. One of the best guys to be in the locker room with, one of the best guys to have next to you in the shotgun. Smart as can be, tough, physical, slasher, great hands. Just always a positive attitude. I mean, Aaron Jones is, I’d say this about a few guys, I’d say this about [John] Kuhn, he epitomized what I thought it meant to be a Packer. Community, phenomenal teammate. He had a lot of pride in his performance, a lot of pride in wearing those colors. He’s going to be a Packer Hall of Famer when he’s done playing. There might have been some though that he didn’t have a whole lot left in the tank and I think we’ve seen through four weeks, that’s incorrect.”

While Aaron Jones has no specific ties to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, he does have a relationship with the quarterback on the other side. When Jones and Rodgers see each other on Sunday, you can bet they’ll share some emotions and embrace. It’s clear that Rodgers knows him in a similar fashion as Vikings fans have quickly come to know Jones.

Through four weeks Jones has already compiled 321 yards for the Vikings. He is knocking on the door to surpass Alexander Mattison’s receiving total from all of 2023. The Vikings have a running attack for the first time under Kevin O’Connell, and it’s because Jones has proven to be a highly-capable contributor.
Some incredible coordination by the Vikings offense on this big run. Oliver stonewalls Gary 1-on-1. Ham lays a great block on the LB. O'Neill and Ingram displace Clark to create a huge lane.

Ultimately the Vikings will be looking for a victory and a chance to improve to 5-0. Jones himself has an opportunity to show his future Hall of Fame teammate that he still does have it. We have seen it thus far, and a new continent shouldn’t be expected to slow him down either.
