Lions Troll Vikings with ‘Cold Like Minnesota’ Locker Room Celebration
The Detroit Lions won their first division title in three decades, when they beat the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Vikings did just as much to lose, as the Lions did to win, including four interceptions by backup QB Nick Mullens and the benching of Akayleb Evans.

But, that’s sports. Excuses don’t make champions. In the end, the Lions took home the 30-24 victory and the NFC North crown. And, as they should, Detroit celebrated their historic road win in the visitor locker room afterward.

During their celebrations, they even sprinkled some gas onto a possibly budding rivalry fire, one that will be renewed in just two weeks time. Lions players cranked up Lil Yachty‘s once popular song, “Cold like Minnesota“, and took their trolling live to social media.

You won’t see me cry over a little bit of friendly bulletin board material, after such a big win. The Lions deserve their flowers. It’s worth reminding them, however (since this isn’t really something that they are used to) that the season is far from over.
Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings Rd 2 (maybe even Rd 3)
The Vikings have to take care of business next week vs the Green Bay Packers, who still share the same record (7-8) and playoff aspirations as they do. With a win, Minnesota’s postseason hopes should still be very much alive, entering their final regular season game in 2023-24, a rematch in Detroit vs the Lions.

I don’t want to look too far ahead, either, but it’s still very possible that — should the Minnesota Vikings stumble into the playoffs — their first round game could be a second-straight at Ford Field vs the Kitties. So, we’ll see how the next couple of weeks play out, and how well this locker room celebration ages, in that time.
