The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Washington Wizards 118-107 on Wednesday evening. The game wasn’t pretty. As Karl-Anthony Towns put it after the game, it was like the Wolves had a lid on their rim all night.

Minnesota scored 32 points off turnovers vs Washington’s 4 and they played in a much more mature fashion, overall, just as head coach Chris Finch demanded following their loss vs a brutal Charlotte Hornets team on Monday. So it wasn’t perfect, but it was a win and a vast improvement from what we saw earlier this week.
Karl-Anthony Towns postgame interview with Jon Krawczynski
But it was KAT’s postgame interview after the win that caught my attention. Most times, when I have written reaction pieces for Karl-Anthony Towns’ interviews, I’ve been critical of the awkward 7-footer.
But on Wednesday, the genuine joy exuding out of Towns when he saw that his friend and longtime Timberwolves beat reporter, Jon Krawczynski (The Athletic), was the one doing his postgame interview for Bally Sports North… I mean, talk about must-see heartwarming content.

Jon has been covering the Minnesota Timberwolves since long before Towns was drafted in 2015. This season, for the first time, he’s been getting some reps as a sideline reporter for Bally Sports North. He continues to get better with ever opportunity he gets.
