Have you noticed the Minnesota Wild missing their spark lately? That’s probably because Kirill Kaprizov hasn’t been in the lineup since suffering an upper-body injury in the team’s 4-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on December 30. Kaprizov has missed the past seven games, and the Wild have lost six of those matchups.

However, Kaprizov has just been activated off injured reserve, putting the Wild’s leading scorer on track to return just in time for Saturday’s matchup against the Arizona Coyotes.

The Coyotes are struggling again this season, but they’re still three points ahead of the Wild entering play today. Yet, with Kirill the Thrill returning, Minnesota’s chances of winning on their home ice just increased dramatically.

Kaprizov has tallied 13 goals, 21 assists, and 34 points across 34 games played this season. He leads all other Wild skaters in scoring, topping Mats Zuccarello by four points.
