Timberwolves Complete Draft After Three 1st-Round Picks
The Minnesota Timberwolves were wheeling, dealing and moving all over the the first round of Wednesday night’s 2020 NBA Draft. After drafting Anthony Edwards #1 overall, the Wolves traded their #17 pick to bring Ricky Rubio back to Minnesota, along with the #25 and #28 picks. But Gersson and Co couldn’t sit back.
Wolves move from 25 to 23 and Select Leandro Bolmaro (Argentina):

Leandro Bolmaro is another guard added to this guard-loaded team. He likely won’t even be over until next season. Still with all these guards, it seems inevitable that a trade involving at least one will be executed soon.
Standing at 6’7″, Bolmaro averaged 8.0 points per game and shot 42% from the line for Barcelona. He reminds people a lot of Ricky Rubio… He is solid on the defensive side and the offensive side is getting better every year.

Wolves draft Jaden McDaniels:
With the 28th overall pick in the draft the Wolves drafted the talented big man McDaniels. He is seen as a potential stretch four.
The Athletic had McDaniels mocked to the Wolves at #17 and instead, he lands with Minnesota 11 picks later. After selecting two guards, the Wolves got their power forward to cap off their draft.
McDaniels has shown the ability to be a good defensive playmaker and a guy who can catch and shoot on the perimeter. Those are two skills the Wolves desperately need so this pick may be looked at as a steal down the road.
Right away he slides in at power forward and can add shooting and defense to this fast paced team. It’s a good gamble late in the draft and if everything goes well he could surprise a lot of people.
Sources: Oklahoma City via Lakers is selecting Jaden McDaniels with the No. 28 pick in the NBA Draft.
