The Minnesota Timberwolves have traded the 17th overall pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Ricky Rubio, the 25th pick, and the 28th pick, per Jon Krawczynski (The Athletic).
Ricky Rubio is coming back to where it all started.— Jon Krawczynski (@JonKrawczynski) November 19, 2020
Ricky Rubio is returning to where it all started, before Tom Thibodeau casted him away for next to nothing. Rubio and Saunders have an excellent relationship and the Wolves have been trying to bring him back for over a year. He can play.
Last season Rubio had a career high 3P% of .361, which would be huge if it can continue. He averaged 13.0 points and 8.8 assists per game. If you wanted LaMelo Ball over Edwards, hopefully Rubio meets your needs.
