They’re calling it “SAMtember” after Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold earned the NFC Offensive Player of the Month honors.
Darnold was the top performer in the NFC during September, leading the Vikings to a perfect 4-0 start to the season.

Sam Darnold wrapped up an impressive September with a flawless 4-0 record. He led the league with 11 passing touchdowns and racked up 932 passing yards, capping off one of the most remarkable months in the franchise’s history.
Sam Darnold managed to edge out players like Saquon Barkley, Geno Smith, Baker Mayfield, and Jordan Mason, all of whom had standout months for their respective teams.
