The Minnesota Vikings are gearing up for their season opener in just a few days. Today marked their final practice, prior to their trip to New York. And it was a good day, on the injury front.

Minnesota Vikings WRs good to go for week one

Jordan Addison and Jalen Nailor, the Vikings’ second and third wide receivers, were both dealing with ankle sprains earlier this week. Neither player was on the injury report Friday. Kevin O’Connell told media that Addison and Nailor are ready to go for Sunday vs the Giants.

This is huge news for the Minnesota Vikings. With TJ Hockenson out, Jordan Addison becomes a crucial component to the passing offense, early this season. The former USC and Pitt star is coming off an impressive rookie year, where he caught 70 passes for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Jalen Nailor, now entering his third season with the Minnesota Vikings, was drafted 191st overall in 2021. He locked up the WR3 job early on in camp, and his talent is undeniable, if the Michigan State product can stay healthy. But after an early week scare, he’s ready to go on Sunday, too.

With KJ Osborn moving to the New England Patriots, Nailor is stepping up into the WR3 role. After a standout training camp and preseason where he caught 4 passes for 91 yards Nailor is set to showcase his skills on the field during the regular season. This is his opportunity to prove what he can do.
