Justin Jefferson Confirms: Jaire Alexander Means Nothing to Him
The Minnesota Vikings are set to play the Green Bay Packers this weekend. They will be looking to repeat the results of their Lambeau Field experience last season. Justin Jefferson is ready to go this time around and Jaire Alexander is his target.
Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson doesn’t care who guards him
Last week the Houston Texans got cute thinking that Derek Stingley Jr. could handle Justin Jefferson. He hauled in 6-of-8 targets for 81 yards and a touchdown. The Packers top cornerback will conceivably believe he can handle the best wide receiver in the league, but he’ll likely be mistaken as well. Talking to The Athletic’s Alec Lewis, Jefferson appears locked in.

Justin Jefferson can say whatever he wants publicly, but there’s no chance such a competitor doesn’t remember being disrespected. Alexander has run his mouth is essentially a weekly occurrence. In seven career games against Green Bay, Jefferson has accumulated 537 yards on 34 receptions. He has four touchdowns, and you can bet the one where he Griddy’s on Alexander’s grave will be the sweetest.

Sam Darnold has developed a quick rapport with his top wide receiver, and Jefferson’s three touchdowns lead the league this season. You can bet the Vikings will look to exploit whatever advantage Kevin O’Connell feels they have.
Jair Alexander couldn’t contain Vikings Jordan Addison
Last season the Minnesota Vikings played the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field without Justin Jefferson. Of course they lost Kirk Cousins at the end of the game, but Jordan Addison showed up during it. The Minnesota rookie destroyed Jaire Alexander all over the field, and the Green Bay cornerback didn’t even have to worry about another threat.

It will be fun to see how Alexander and the Green Bay Packers defense handle a pair of receivers that are lightyears better than their top options. All week in practice Alexander will have gone against Jayden Reed hoping to be tested at a Jefferson level.

If Green Bay is truly to come out on top, it will require their loudmouth cornerback to have an out-of-body experience.
