Minnesota Vikings Give Jordan Addison Injury Update
The Minnesota Vikings will play the Houston Texans on Sunday, whether they have any receivers to throw to, or not. Luckily, we got good news on Justin Jefferson’s status, as we get closer to the weekend. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Jordan Addison.
The former USC star was dealing with a left ankle sprain, during the last couple weeks of the preseason. That healed enough to where he was a full-go in week one, vs the New York Giants. But during that matchup, an illegal hip drop tackle caused Addison to sprain his other (right) ankle.
Jordan Addison injury update
Wednesday, O’Connell gave an update on Jordan Addison, calling him Day-to-Day. But from the sounds of it, he’s expected to miss at least one more week. At least that’s what Judd Zulgad (SKOR North), and other Vikings insiders believe.

“Jordan Addison is still day-to-day. I get the feeling he’s not going to play again on Sunday. Keep in mind, he sprained his ankle against the Giants. He had a high ankle sprain about a month ago in practice against the Cleveland Browns. I think the Vikings are going to er on the side of caution. I would say, just a guess, Jordan Addison does not play.”

Minnesota Vikings latest injury updates
At practice on Wednesday, reporters spotted Jordan Addison and Brian O’Neill were both working out, to the side. Justin Jefferson, Andrew Van Ginkel and Dallas Turner all sat out of practice. As of now, it seems the only one of those guys who is not expected to play vs the Texans is Addison.
Jordan Addison caught three passes for 35 yards, in the Minnesota Vikings’ week one matchup vs the Giants, before he was knocked out of the game on that illegal hip-drop tackle. If any more updates come available on Addison, or any of the other Vikings players, we’ll have them here at MinnesotaSportsFan.com.
