We are inching closer to yet another massive Minnesota Vikings game, this time vs the Seattle Seahawks. Unfortunately, they will have to play week 16 without future member of the Ring of Honor, (S) Harrison Smith.

Harrison Smith inactive – Minnesota Vikings vs Seattle Seahawks

After practicing on and off all week, Smith landed on Sunday’s inactive list, along with (QB) Brett Rypien, (CB) Fabian Moreau, (TE) Nick Muse, (DL) Jalen Redmond, (C) Dan Feeney and (T) Walter Rouse.

Harrison Smith (foot) appeared as “limited” on the Minnesota Vikings’ early week 16 injury report, Wednesday. Initially, concern was low. We see a lot of veterans show up on those early-week reports, around this time of year.

(DT) Harrison Phillips, (RT) Brian O’Neill and (EDGE) Patrick Jones II were listed right next to Harry, on that first practice report, earlier this week. But those other vets got healthier, as the week went on. Meanwhile, Smith went from “limited” on Wednesday to “DNP” (Did Not Practice) on Thursday.

He did get back on the field with teammates Friday, but it wasn’t enough to give him the green light today. That’s unfortunate, because at 35-years-old, Harrison Smith is enjoying yet another solid season9 passes defended | 2 interceptions | 1 sack | 79 total tackles | 64.8 PFF Grade
