Do any of you remember Gabe Henderson? You know, the top in-house media member for the Minnesota Vikings. For the last few years, Henderson has been the star of the team’s official social media channels, where he would interview players, coaches and executives.

He produced and hosted weekly shows for radio (KFAN) and TV (FOX9) too. Heck, he even had a right hand seat next to Paul Allen on Minnesota Vikings game days. After climbing his way up, there were very few people above him on the pecking order of “Vikings Entertainment Network”.

Then, sometime around October 5, he suddenly disappeared from all team-related social media channels. A few days later, his very active Twitter (X) account went silent, and is now set to private.

Gabe’s only tweet since October 7 was a thank you from October 29, after he won a local Emmy award for his interview segments with Vikings players from 2023, an honor that was never acknowledged by the official team account.

Confirmed: Gabe Henderson no longer employed by Minnesota Vikings

On Monday, our friends at The Purple Persuasion (@TPPSkol), did some of their own digging, and found that Gabe Henderson is no longer listed on the Minnesota Vikings website, next to the dozens of other VTN employees. Then Tuesday, beat writer Will Ragatz, confirmed that Gabe is no longer employed by our favorite football team.

I tried to do a bit of my own digging, behind the scenes, and wasn’t able to dig up anything on what ended Gabe’s relationship with the Vikings. Obviously, it didn’t come on good terms, or the team would have sent him out with a social media parade. They did the opposite.

Gabe Henderson is a former QB/WR at the University of Liberty, where he had one solid season catching the football (2014), as a senior, where he caught 56 passes for 651 yards and 4 touchdowns. From there, he eventually got a job with the Washington Commanders organization, before landing with the Vikings in April, 2020.

Oddly enough, Gabe replaced a media personality, Mike Wobschall (Wobby), who was let go by the Minnesota Vikings in similarly mysterious fashion, around 2020. He too suddenly disappeared from all social media accounts and VTN productions. He now hosts a Vikings podcast for Bleav Network.
