LA Rams WR Charged with DUI Before Playoff Game vs Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are set to face the Los Angeles Rams in the wild card round of the NFL Playoffs on Monday Night. Due to the recent wildfires in California, the game has been relocated to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, home of the Cardinals.
In Week 8 on Thursday Night Football, the Rams handed the Vikings their second loss of the season. A major factor in that loss was LA wide receivers vs Minnesota’s defense. Puka Nacua was a surprise activation late in the week and he went off for 7 receptions and 106 yards.
He never caught a touchdown, though. Those were reserved for another Rams wide receiver, Demarcus Robinson, who caught only two passes for 35 yards… but both were touchdowns.
Los Angeles Rams WR Demarcus Robinson charged with DUI
On Thursday, Robinson (who led the Rams in receiving touchdowns this season) was charged with a misdemeanor DUI. The charge follows an arrest from November 25, after the 30-year-old out of the University of Florida was pulled over, then booked on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Rams head coach Sean McVay has already clarified that Demarcus Robinson wouldn’t face suspension until legal action is taken. The standard NFL suspension for a first-time DUI is two to three games. Now that Robinson has officially been charged, it’s very possible a suspension is in Robinson’s future…. but not before the Rams’ playoff game vs the Vikings on Monday.
Robinson will play vs Minnesota Vikings
Just like we have seen with Jordan Addison and his DUI from the offseason, DeMarcus Robinson has made sure that any consequential court decisions come long after the 2024 NFL season ends. According to the city attorney’s office (per TMZ), Robinson is set to be arraigned in late February. By then (hopefully by Monday night), the Rams’ playoff run will be long over.

If the Rams were to end up suspending Robinson and he misses the game against the Vikings, it could be a big break for Minnesota. Back in October, when these teams faced off in week 8, Robinson didn’t have a ton of catches, just two, but he made them count with 35 yards and two touchdowns.
