Andrew Wiggins fires agent and things could get sticky:
Tuesday night, it was broken by Adrian Wojnarowski, that Andrew Wiggins and his agent were parting ways after a 3-year relationship. He is still expected to sign his big contract. It looks like Wiggins may have been sniped by another firm offering better terms on that new deal with the Timberwolves. Just like any other relationship, this one does not look to be free of its post-parting animosity. We have more details here.
Twins @ White Sox in game 3 of 5:
Kyle Gibson was the starter for the Twins on Tuesday night and things didn’t start off very well, per his usual M-O. He gave up a bleeder to Moncada, who is going to be really good by-the-way, that was stretched to a double when Dozier dove for it and tipped it away from Eddie Rosario in Right Field.
He would later score on a wild pitch from Gibson, after moving to 3rd.
The score would stay there until the 4th inning when who else but Jorge Polanco started the scoring for the Twins:

Then someone new jumped into the home run fun that has infected the Twins’ lineup of late: Kennys Vargas.

After Leury Garcia lost a Mauer line drive in the lights, Eddie Rosario didn’t want to lose out on the spotlight.

On top of all the home runs, Gibson actually made it through 7 innings while just giving up that one run in the 1st. I am starting to doubt a lot of personal beliefs after watching his performance. The Twins went to the 8th inning up 4-1 and looking confident.
Trevor Hildenberger went 1-2-3 in the 8th, after replacing Gibson, and apparently the Twins have the best pitching staff in the MLB.
Belisle came was trusted to close things out in the 9th. He allowed the first runner on but bounced the next guy into a double play and would finish things out 1 batter later.
The Twins would win and move to 65-60 on the season. At game end, the Twins would sit a full game ahead of the Angels for the final Wild Card spot. They are in the 2nd inning of their game on the west coast.
Game 4 of 5 against the White Sox will take place tomorrow at 7:10 PM. Ervin Santana is set to face James Shields.
Twins’ #1 overall pick, Royce Lewis, ripping up the minors:
Anyone who was crying for Hunter Greene or anyone else, after the Twins picked Royce Lewis with the #1 overall pick in the MLB Draft a couple of months ago, better be dry-eyed at this point. All Royce Lewis has done, after taking less money to allow the Twins to have a deeper draft, is dominate just about every pitcher opposing teams have put on the bump opposite of him.
Soon after the draft, Lewis was sent to the Gulf Coast League with the GCL Twins. He was there for just 36 games before being promoted to Cedar Rapids where he has been for 9 games so far. He was impressive in the GCL and has been even better since the promotion. Here is a picture from MiLB.com.
He is going to be a phenom.
Twins hoping Miguel Sano will be ready by early next week:
Tuesday’s morning StarTribune had some insight into Sano’s injury and his road back to the middle of the Twins’ lineup. It looks like the Twins are hoping he can come back quickly. He won’t be on the road trip they are on currently that goes from Chicago to Toronto, but are hoping he will be back soon after that.
Here is the whole story from Phil Miller.
