MN Twins to Induct Fan Favorite Into HOF

It has been a couple of years since the Minnesota Twins had a player inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame (Joe Mauer – 2024), and it looks like it’ll be awhile before it happens again.
Each year however, the organization adds past players/coaches/personnel to their own Hall of Fame. Last summer, former third baseman Corey Koskie received the honor. This year, though, it won’t be a player.

“After four decades of introducing us to all of the Hall of Famers, we get to introduce him as part of it today. It is my distinct honor to be able to speak to you all after to announce the 42nd member of the Twins Hall of Fame, Dick Bremer.”

After 40 seasons as voice of the Minnesota Twins, Dick Bremer announced his retirement on October 31, 2023. He was quickly replaced by then radio voice Cory Provus, who also does play-by-play for Big Ten basketball.
Coincidentally, Provus joined the Twins radio booth in 2011, to replace another legendary voice in team history, John Gordon. Over a decade later, he took over for another.
Bremer was a Twin through and through
Bremer was born in St. Paul, but grew up in central MN. He graduating from Staples high school and got his college degree at St. Cloud State University.
Immediately upon graduation, Dick began his broadcasting career with the Minnesota Twins in 1983. He then spent the next forty years working for the organization, outside of a one-year hiatus in 1986.

During his time working with the Twins, Dick Bremer saw it all, during his time working for the Minnesota Twins, which spanned the entirety of his professional career, including two World Series championships.
He also helped usher in two new eras of Twins baseball, first at the Metrodome — where the team started playing home games (1982) one year before he was hired — then again at Target Field, where he was the voice behind the record-setting Bomba Squad season (2019).
