Timberwolves Rising Superstar Anthony Edwards Named 2023-24 All-NBA
The Minnesota Timberwolves are about to play their first Western Conference Finals game in nearly 20 years to the day and there’s no doubt the biggest reason for their emergence in 2024 is blossoming 22-year-old superstar Anthony Edwards, who was named All-NBA 2nd Team on Wednesday prior to tip.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards makes All-NBA 2nd Team
Edwards, who will compete for Team USA this summer in the 2024 Olympics in Paris, has captured the attention of fans and NBA voices across the world and he may be the sole hope that the league has left, at this point, to save their TV ratings.
Seriously, without Boston vs Minnesota (Ant) in the NBA Finals, the NBA’s ratings could fall so low that owners might start getting nervous (probably not).

That’s because Ant isn’t just an elite talent, he’s a box office personality. And there may be no hotter draw in the league right now than “Ant Man”, and we aren’t talking Marvel movies. Maybe superheroes, though.
- On the season Anthony Edwards averaged 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game (79 games)
- In the 2024 NBA Playoffs, those numbers have only gone up (28.9 PTS, 6.2 REB, 5.9 AST).

He’s also taken visible steps forward in his leadership capabilities throughout the season and that progress has shined through two rounds of the NBA Playoffs.
No other Minnesota Timberwolves players were named All-NBA, but Rudy Gobert (1st Team) and Jaden Daniels (2nd Team) were both named NBA All-Defense. Rody also took home Defensive Player of the Year and Naz Reid won NBA Sixth Man of the Year.
