Anthony Edwards Fined for Referee Rant, Just as He Projected

On Monday night, before Anthony Edwards emphatically went on record with how bad he thought the referees were during a Minnesota Timberwolves’ win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, he projected that his incoming complaints would trigger a fine from the NBA.

Anthony Edwards fined $40,000 for Referee Rant
On Wednesday, the league proved him correct when it assessed the blossoming young superstar a $40,000 fine for the many things he had to say about NBA zebras a couple nights ago. It’s a charge Ant will happily pay, after he was caught on camera in OKC lambasting the refs at least three different times, including once calling them “cheatin’ ass refs”.

Anthony Edwards and the Wolves are back on the hardwood tonight, in a tough Western Conference road test vs the Dallas Mavericks. We’ll be keeping an eye out for how Ant is treated, after what he said the other night.
