It’s a new age of college athletics and there are more transfers in and out of each program than any fan can or wants to keep track of. That’s why we’ve created the Minnesota Gophers football transfer portal tracker 2023.

We will keep up with all of the movement before, during and after each season, so you can know who is leaving your favorite college football team and who is staying in Dinkytown for good.

Minnesota’s regular season ended in 6-7 disappointment. With Oregon, USC, UCLA and Washington all joining the Big Ten next year and divisions going by the wayside, a lot of movement and changes are expected this offseason.

The transfer portal closed yesterday and Minnesota was able to keep basically all of their core from last year, even while having some late spring ball transfers.

The biggest incoming name is New Hampshire quarterback Max Brosmer, who is expected to be our new starting QB in 2024. Ethan Robinson (Bucknell) had offers from all over, including helmet schools like USC. The Gophers also recently picked up huge commitments from WR Cristian Driver, and RB Marcus Major who look to have big impacts.

Strikethrough : Flipped Commitment

Multiple Gophers have already announced or completed their transfer portal plans to leave Dinkytown, including starting quarterback, Athan Kaliakmanis and running back, Zach Evans. But overall, the exits to the portal have been the least of PJ Fleck’s worries so far this offseason. Even now into the spring, although the Gophers have lost some players, they did a great job at keeping the guys that actually play.
