Wolves Send Rudy Gobert Home After Punching Teammate in Huddle

The Minnesota Timberwolves played the most important game of their season on Easter Sunday and emotions were high. So high, in fact, that Rudy Gobert throat punched teammate Kyle Anderson during a timeout huddle. According to Shams (The Athletic), Gobert was sent home after the incident.

It’s unclear exactly what happened and why. It’s possible that Gobert was missing assignments on defense and then tossing blame elsewhere. At least that’s what the great Wob (Rob Perez) believes.

Rudy wasn’t the only Wolf that left the game after punching something. Jaden McDaniels punched the wall walking down the hallway and is rumored to have a fractured wrist because of it.

Even after all of this drama, the Wolves found a way to victory against the Pelicans, clinching the 8-seed in the Western Conference, matching them up with the LA Lakers on Tuesday for a chance at moving up to the 7-seed in the playoffs.
