Ah yes, St. Cloud, Minnesota… the romance capitol of the United States. From what I know of this great Minnesota city, I’m a bit surprised it didn’t finish higher on this list. The survey was performed by “EliteSingles.com,” which makes these results even less surprising, given how high-class the city of St. Cloud is.
I have a lot of fond memories of my time in Cloud-Town. I attended the prestigious St. Cloud State University from 2007 to 2013 and came out with the proud 6-year bachelor’s degree. Unfortunately, I was only on campus until 2010 but just like this poll proves, I did do plenty of “romance” in my time there.
Starting at house/yard parties and eventually graduating to the tasteful downtown scene, I romanced all over St. Cloud and so did many others… many times, in front of everyone. We romanced in living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms but we weren’t afraid of romancing in public either. St. Cloud is a free place where romance is en-liquid-couraged. There was so much romance going on in my time there, that you couldn’t always tell who was romancing with who.
I don’t even know why I am writing this blog when this poll is no surprise to anyone. When you have classy establishments like “The Press”, “The Red Carpet”, “DB Searles”, and once-upon-a-time, McRudy’s… how can you not fall into all of that romance? If you listen to our podcast then you know how much Brandon learned about his now-professional romancing skills, from his time in St. Cloud.
So congratulations to the city that turned me from a romance adolescent into… well, better than what I was when I got there.
