Rigging Dunk Contests for Girls Isn’t Feminism; It’s the Opposite

The McDonald’s All-American Dunk contest (Powerade Jam Fest) was held Monday night, featuring some of the best young high-flyers in the country. It made for quite the show.

Look, I don’t consider myself a feminist but I’m definitely not a sexist either. One other thing that I am not…. is blind. I’m not fucking blind and most people on this earth aren’t blind. This perfect score from Fran Belibi in ALL 4 ROUNDS is a large crock of steaming bullshit.
I’m all for powerful women. I am currently raising one and I’ve been with her mother for 8 years. In that time, I’ve watched her get a Master’s Degree and earn a paycheck WAY bigger than mine. Hell, this website wouldn’t be possible without her and all the greenbacks she ropes in. She worked hard and I’m happy to say I helped her get there.
But, if this is your feminism, then you’re doing it wrong. It’s cool that Fran can dunk and she’d probably win a women’s dunk contest but she didn’t win this contest. In fact, she shouldn’t have been competing. Not because she is a woman. Because, she wasn’t as good as the other contestants.
You either admit that men and women are different (in which case you’d hold a separate competition for women) OR you stand on the side with those who contend that women belong on the same level as men athletically (in which case you can’t be handing them trophies they didn’t earn — since that directly conflicts with your premise).
Stop with your fake feminism. Even Zion didn’t get a perfect score for this dunk in 2018…. lol.
