Justin Jefferson Goes Down Hard at Vikings Practice; Clutches Shoulder in Clear Pain

Any news coming out of Minnesota Vikings training camp this week has revolved around their QB1 vs vaccine nation but that could change after what happened this afternoon. While running 11 v 11 drills, Kirk Cousins threw to Justin Jefferson on a slant pattern that was contested by Bashaud Breeland.
The play ended with JJ clutching at his left shoulder in obvious discomfort. Take a look.

There are a lot of twitter accounts currently acting as amateur forensic video scientists and/or doctors but, even the most optimistic eyes have a difficult time seeing anything positive here. The Minnesota Vikings locker room is already dealing with a lot of controversy and losing Justin Jefferson due to any sort of long-term shoulder or collarbone injury would be devastating.
But maybe, just maybe, there is a football god after all.
Vikings’ WE Justin Jefferson, who left practice today grabbing his left shoulder after he fell to the ground, has a sprained AC joint, per source. “Nothing serious,” per source, but there will be further testing this weekend.
