Carter Coughlin Runs a 4.57 40-Yard Dash at NFL Combine…
Carter Coughlin may be white… but he isn’t the slow kind of white, like me. Coughlin said earlier this week, that his 40-time would be better than most expected. He proved that right today, when he ran it in 4.57 seconds, good enough for 9th-best of all linebackers who ran.
Carter Coughlin ran a 4.58 and 4.63 in his two attempts at the NFL Scouting Combine. Those are excellent times for him. #Gophers

Coughlin also finished 8th place out of linebackers, in the vertical jump, measuring his best Tigger impression at 36 inches. Carter had football pedigree and hard-worker status helping him throughout this draft process. After the combine, GM’s around the league are adding an “athlete” sticker next to his name, too.
As of now, Coughlin is projected as a VERY late round pick, if not undrafted. We’ll see if that’s where he remains as the draft draws closer.
Sunday is the last day of the combine and Antoine Winfield Jr. will take the field next to other top defensive backs around the nation. He says he will surprise people with his 40-time too, a time he expects to be under 4.4 seconds.
For many, the biggest question around #Minnesota DB Antoine Winfield Jr. was his top speed.

When asked what he’s going to run in the 40:
โFast. Iโll just say fast, and weโll see you on Sunday.โ
Said the best 40 he’s ever ran is in the 4.3s. pic.twitter.com/yUFQuKnGUs
