The last time the Minnesota Timberwolves made it to the Western Conference Finals, Kevin Garnett was their superstar. That was two decades ago and a lot has happened between KG and the organization (mostly Glen Taylor) since then.

In theory, Garnett should have a permanent suite in Target Center and a home at the top of some hill in on Lake Minnetonka, both of which he would frequent throughout the year. Instead, he rarely shows up for Wolves games and has mostly disassociated himself from the franchise.

Kevin Garnett in the house for Minnesota Timberwolves vs Dallas Mavericks game 5?

But according to his former Boston Celtics teammate, Kendrick Perkins on NBA Today (ESPN) on Wednesday, the Minnesota Timberwolves legend is going to put all of that to the side for game 5 of the 2024 Western Conference Finals on Thursday, when the Wolves try to maintain their NBA Playoff existence.

That’s right, The Big Ticket is returning home to Minneapolis which means there’s absolutely no chance that the Minnesota Timberwolves are losing game 5, right?

While playing for the Wolves, (1996-2007), KG averaged 20.5 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.4 steals per game. He quite literally did it all. In Minnesota, Garnett earned an MVP (2003-04), made 8 All-NBA teams (3 1st teams) and 8 All-Defense teams. He was and forever will be the Minnesota Timberwolves original superstar.
