After a historic victory for the Minnesota Gophers over the Auburn Tigers this afternoon in the 2019 Outback Bowl, PJ Fleck hit the podium and gave another historic press conference that only PJ Fleck can give. That’s AFTER he inspired everyone immediately after the game, when he was approached on the field by an ESPN’s sideline reporter. Again, it’s hard for me to believe that any of PJ’s critics have ever watched any of his media appearances. All he does is praise everyone else and spew constant positivity, always seeming to have the right words for the right moments. Today was no different.

Tyler Johnson was awarded the MVP Trophy right afterward. He finished the game with 12 catches, over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns, and broke any record he didn’t already hold, along the way. It was quite the farewell… though I do always feel bad for the players who have to follow up Fleck at the podium.
