Wild Sign Marcus Foligno to Contract Extension
The Minnesota Wild signed assistant captain, Marcus Foligno, to a 4 year, $16 million contract extension on Friday, the same day they extended Mats Zuccarello for 2 years, $8.25 million. It comes with a full no-move clause.

Bill Guerin bets on Marcus Foligno rebound season
After scoring a career high 42 points (23 goals, 19 assists) in 2021-22, Foligno took a big step back in 2022-23, mustering a lackluster 7 goals and 14 assists. Reports have surfaced recently that “Moose” was dealing with significant injuries throughout last season, especially late when he became a hindrance to the Wild’s chances during the playoffs.
As mentioned earlier today, after the Zuccarello contract was reported, Bill Guerin isn’t putting his pen away yet. Next up is 1st line center, Ryan Hartman. When it happens is still TBD, though.
GM Bill Guerin indicated that Ryan Hartman is next to get extended. They’re in talks and it’s “heading that way.” Not sure if it’s coming in next few days or a week, etc. “He’s an identity player for us.” #mnwild.
