Vikings Lose Another Defender: Base Starting LB Todd Davis Tests Positive for COVID
The (1-5) Minnesota Vikings are scheduled to suit up on Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field vs the (5-1) Green Bay Packers. This morning, Adam Schefter tweeted that a Vikings linebacker has tested positive for COVID-19.
The player was unknown until Chris Tomasson (Pioneer Press) tweeted it out minutes ago. Linebacker, Todd Davis was supposed to start in the base 4-3 defense on Sunday but Troy Dye will now take his place.
Two more positive tests for two more players on two separate teams, per sources:

A Broncosโ offensive lineman tested positive.
A Vikingsโ linebacker tested positive.
Source says #Vikings linebacker Todd Davis has tested positive for Covid-19. Rookie Troy Dye will start for the #Vikings in the base defense on Sunday at Green Bay.

Iโm not sure how the Vikings will field a defense if anything else happens before Sunday morning. Jeff Gladney is the only starter still in the secondary, with Dantzler also in COVID protocol. Hughes and Hill are both injured and help isnโt coming.
As of now, Minnesotaโs Friday practice plans are still in place. As soon as we hear more, this post will be updated.
