Vikings, Danielle Hunter Come to Terms on Contract

The Minnesota Vikings and Danielle Hunter have been at the negotiating table more often over the last few years than he has been on the football field. That’s part of what made his contract talks this offseason so difficult.

But on Sunday, that came to an end. At least, for now. This after the two sides came to an agreement for the 2023-24 season where Hunter will receive a modest raise of about $15 million.

Danielle Hunter takes short term solution

Hunter was scheduled to make just $4.5 million in base pay for next season, $5.5 million total. This new deal will fix his pocket books for now, guaranteeing him $17 million ($20 million total), but it does not cover any of the future money he was asking for during negotiations.

That means Danielle will make his own bed over the next 17+ games and then hit the open market, at nearly 30 years old, for one last shot at a huge payday.
