Teddy Bridgewater: Is He Ready? Stay Updated Here:

What is Really Going on with Teddy Bridgewater?

So things got interesting Sunday night on the Twitter Machine.

Ryan Boser has written about the Vikings for Bleacher Report. He has also contributed to LeagueSafe.com. So there is some legitimacy to his name. He seems to be a regular on a lot of local blog sites too. I found him featured with Zak Law on his Fantasy Football prowess.

However, there are some warning signs to jumping on this rumor and trying to ride it to US Bank Stadium. Boser has some history breaking “rumors” around the Teddy Bridgewater situation. Back when Teddy first got hurt, he came out with a report that Michael Vick was scheduled to come to MN for a visit that never happened:

That doesn’t mean it was a lie or misleading. Maybe the meeting was scheduled. Maybe something changed.

Here is what we do know about Teddy’s activities yesterday. It comes from Ben Goessling, with the StarTribune.

However, Warren Moon seems to have some insider information in an article by the Pioneer Press and this doesn’t seem like he thinks Teddy will be activated until he sits on the PUP List through game 6. Here is Moon in that article by Chris Tomasson.

“I think Sam’s going to get a chance to really show what he can do because probably Teddy can’t come back for the first six games if they put him on (the physically unable to perform list to start the season). So the Vikings will have a pretty good indication of which direction they want to go based on how (Bradford) starts the season.’’

“People that I know that are really close to him say he’s not far away,’’

Tomasson notes that Moon has been keeping a “close eye” on the QB situation in Minnesota. The whole article is full of GREAT quotes by Moon on how he sees the whole QB situation playing out. He is super open and honest about how he sees it.

After reading the Moon piece and digging around all day in search of more reports or interesting tidbits, everything is still up in the air as far as what will happen with Teddy’s activation. The best source noted in the last two days was Moon. However, if anything changes, we will let you know as this post will be updated with news going forward.

Remember, if Teddy starts the season on the PUP List, he will be there until game 6. He will have to be off of it by week 10 to play this season. If he does play a snap this season, he will be a Free Agent at the end of it. If he remains on the PUP all season, he will be a Viking next year as his contract would toll over to next season.

We will keep this post updated as more news comes in.
