Sunday was Tough for the Vikings but Worse for the Eagles
Sunday’s results had STRONG implications on the NFC playoff picture. Can someone please acquire a urine sample from these implications? I think they might be on PEDs.
Vikings lost.
Packers won.
Bears won.
Lions won.
Eagles win and take 1st place in NFC but lose NDSU alum Carson Wentz (possibly for the season).Pretty bad day for Minnesota & North Dakota sports fans?

I won’t speak for ND, but as for us, we’ve seen FAR worse. That was child’s play in these parts.
It was confirmed on Monday that the Eagles QB did in fact tear his ACL:

First and foremost, best wishes to Wentz. I hope his recovery is quick and that he is full strength come 2018. It’s never fun to see someone go down. Especially when that someone is a gunslinger from NDSU.
With Carson Wentz out for the year, are Philadelphia’s Super Bowl aspirations done?
Damn near. Their victory over the Rams moved them to 11-2. However, with their prized QB out, the Eagles will be relying on Nick Foles under center.

All jokes aside, Nick Foles just isn’t Carson Wentz. I’d take a handful of NFC teams to go into Philly and beat a Carson-less Eagles squad. Wentz was right behind Tom Brady in MVP conversations. On the other hand, Foles is a backup for a reason. His 20-16 career record is mediocre. My opinion isn’t a shot at him. He just doesn’t have the physical ability to do things like this:

Philadelphia’s remaining schedule: @ Giants, Raiders, Cowboys
They should be able to do enough over the final weeks to hold on to the number one seed. Even if they do, don’t anticipate to see them in Minneapolis come February.
In a different fashion than Philly, the “L” for the Vikings this weekend came on the scoreboard. Despite a late surge, mistakes on offense, not capitalizing in the red-zone, and allowing big plays on defense proved to be too much. Jonathan Stewart’s 67 yard td was only the Panther’s second best rush of the day. Cam Newton juked Andrew Sendejo out of his shorts on their best. This 62 yard scamper set up what turned out to be the GW TD (since the BLATANT hold from Kalil on Barr wasn’t called):

“Did y’all see that hold Matt Kalil put on him? Stop, Cheata. #KeepHolding
I'll leave it with this no call on Matt. It was Cams long run. I'm sure that the jersey isn't suppose to do that if it wasn't holding. I would think Barr could of made that tackle if it wasn't for the hold. pic.twitter.com/XcmH96adQr

Sunday’s disappointing defeat was not fun. However, the timing could have been MUCH worse. It was like getting a speeding ticket right after receiving your tax returns. It sucks, but we can afford it.
I’d love to see Cam and Carolina in the playoffs. Mike Zimmer, and company, will bust them next time around. NO DOUBT. They piss me off. Their owner, Jerry Richardson, is a joke. He had this statue built in his honor:
You guys… I finally made it to the super modest statue Jerry Richardson built himself. pic.twitter.com/ea3b2qCzqc

Can you imagine how we’d react if Zygi Wilf pulled some shit like that? #SkolNation would revolt. Like Wilf, Richardson’s franchise hasn’t won a Super Bowl. I know nothing about the Carolina owner other than that and the statue. Those two are more than enough for me. He’s an egotistical jackass.
Minnesota now holds the second overall spot in the NFC. The Purple should be able to get back on track next week. They will play Cincinnati at home. The lowly Bengals just got blown out at home by the Bears. How in the hell does Marvin Lewis still have a job?
Minnesota’s remaining schedule: Bengals, @ Packers, Bears
Current NFC Standings:
The Vikings can’t control what happens out in Wentzylvania. What they can control, is ensuring they obtain a first-round bye.
Teams can tend to play more hungry following a loss. We should have plenty of piss and vinegar vs. Cincinnati. #SKOL
In closing, Green Bay must have had Case Keenum’s lucky horseshoe on Sunday. It took overtime, but the Packers got it done vs. the winless Browns. The Cheeseheads are hoping to welcome Aaron Rodgers back from injury this weekend. The possibility of Rodgers returning to U.S. Bank to face Minnesota in the playoffs is real.
Carolina will look to make it two in a row vs the NFC North. Cam and company upset a lot of Minnesotan’s this past weekend. I propose we call it even if they can do the same to the Wisconsinites in Week 15. If they do, the Packers playoffs hopes will be crushed.
