Randy Moss Crowns Himself as GOAT and Justin Jefferson ROY
Randy Moss is the GOAT and Justin Jefferson is Rookie of the Year but, just in case you were wavering, Moss made both things clear today. There’s really nothing better than a double-dose of Randy’s wisdom in one day.
He made an appearance on the “Getcha Popcorn Ready” podcast with Terrell Owens and former Viking teammate, Matthew Hatchette. During the show, he answered the question that the real ones already know. Randy Moss is the greatest wide receiver to ever lace up football cleats. His #2, however, was a bit surprising.

You can watch the entire video here. Moss continues talking for a couple of minutes after this clip but you can tell he is uncomfortable with the conversation. He starts rambling and repeats himself a bit. He knows he’s the best ever but he doesn’t want to disrespect any of the other greats either.
Jerry Rice #3 or #4?
Jerry Rice is bumped down Randy’s list all the way to #3 or #4 behind Terrell Owens? That was an interesting comment but does make sense. It’s not like there weren’t cameras or that games weren’t televised during Jerry Rice’s tenure in the NFL.
If he had highlight reel catches like Randy Moss then those videos would be all over the internet just like we see Moss’. If you watched Randy and Jerry Rice both play on the regular, then you are bias if you can’t admit Moss’ superiority on the football field. He’s nicknamed “The Freak” for a reason.
Randy Moss had 17 receiving TDs as an NFL rookie – a record that still holds up to this day ????

Randy talks about it in this clip. He changed the game and he did it on different teams, with different (and inferior) quarterbacks and in more tumultuous circumstances. And still, he holds half the receiving records over Jerry Rice.
Moss endorses Justin Jefferson for ROY
Randy Moss calling himself the greatest wide receiver of all-time was only half of the wisdom he spewed to the masses on Wednesday. While on ESPN, Moss talked about Justin Jefferson and his status in the Rookie of the Year race.
This isn’t a surprise. If Jefferson is breaking Moss’ GOAT rookie records then who else would Randy endorse? I couldn’t find the video anywhere because you can’t stream past SportsCenter episodes anywhere on the internet, apparently.
I think Chris Tomasson does a good job of capturing Randy Moss’ personality in his tweet, anyway.
Randy Moss, speaking on ESPN: “#Vikings have something offensively, man, that I love seeing. Yeah, I’m talking about the rookie Justin Jefferson. … Rookie of the Year. Man, I see it. Me, Percy Harvin, Sammy White, Justin Jefferson. Man, I love what they’re doing in Minnesota.’’

I’m excited for that, and hopefully I can beat his yards record also.”</p>— Chris Tomasson (@christomasson) <a href=”https://twitter.com/christomasson/status/1339275143126921218?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>December 16, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src=”https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>
