MN Vikings Training Camp Report Dates Revealed

The Minnesota Vikings wrapped up minicamp minicamp a couple of weeks ago without announcing a starting quarterback for the 2026 season. Instead, head coach Kevin O’Connell made clear his intentions to keep the competition between Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy raging on into training camp.
Official report dates for Minnesota Vikings training camp
Speaking of training camp, the official report dates for rookies and veterans was released today by “one of us” NFL insider Tom Pelissero (NFL Network). For the MN Vikings, rookies are scheduled to report on July 26. Veterans, meanwhile, must report to TCO Performance Center by July 28.

The MN Vikings will again participate in joint practices this summer, this time with the Baltimore Ravens (starting August 19), who will invade TCO Performance Center before the two squads do exhibition battle on August 22.
Right now, we are in the middle of a relative dead period for the National Football League, but Eagan will be buzzing again in just over a month. They will then have approximately seven weeks between then and Week 1 in Green Bay on September 13.
Plenty of Vikings roster questions remain
New general manager Nolan Teasley — who has final say on the 53-man roster — still has plenty of work to do on the roster before training camp starts. He will work with O’Connell and defensive coordinator Brian Flores to strengthen roster weaknesses.
Of course, the conversations all start at quarterback. If McCarthy isn’t going to be QB1, will he be QB2, QB3, or not on the roster entirely?
The Minnesota Vikings also need to figure out their front-seven on defense, after losing Jonathan Greenard and both starting interior linemen, going into 2025. Their cornerback room is thin, as well, and we still don’t know what the plan is for Harrison Smith or what happens if he retires.
