Minnesota Vikings WR in Jail Again

Ideally when you make a mistake, the hope is that you would learn from it. That applies both in the world of sports, and in the greater scheme of life in general. The Minnesota Vikings are no stranger to struggles when it comes to public transgressions, although their rap sheet has diminished in recent seasons.
Unfortunately Jordan Addison has all but taken it upon himself to ratchet up the intensity. He now has a growing list of mistakes to his credit, and it certainly doesn’t look like he’s learned anything.
After previously serving a suspension from the NFL due to a DUI charge, he’s picked up another mugshot just weeks after the Vikings season ended.
Jordan Addison adds another mugshot to his collection
The Minnesota Vikings were without Jordan Addison for the first three weeks this season. He was suspended due to a DUI charge from the summer before. It forced Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to acquire depth in the form of Adam Thielen, and was the second run-in with the law for Addison. Now he’s got as many arrests as years in the league.
“According to court documents… (Jordan) Addison was arrested by Seminole Indian Police at 3:46 a.m. ET on January 12. He was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor for trespassing in an occupied structure or conveyance.

A first-degree misdemeanor for trespassing in a structure or conveyance is defined as a human being was present in the structure or conveyance at the time the unauthorized entry occurred. This means that someone gained unauthorized entry, or refused to leave while someone else was present.
Florida classifies this as a first-degree misdemeanor and it is punishable by up to 12 months in jail, up to 12 months of probation, and/or a fine of up to $1,000. The most likely outcome for Addison is financially based, but the optics will have a far greater impact.
This is the third time Addison has had issues with the law since being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings. He was cited for driving 85 mph over the speed limit in July 2023, and then arrested in the summer of 2024 for suspected DUI.
At 23 years old, it would be one thing to call him a dumb kid. The problem is that he has substantial means to avoid such transgressions, and continues to put himself in such predicaments.
Addison costing himself opportunity for MN Vikings
Not only did Addison miss three games for the Vikings earlier this year, but he’s ruining future paychecks too. The flashy wide receiver famously said, “let’s go get paid” on draft night. His rookie deal will earn him $13.7 million over the course of four years.
The problem for the Minnesota Vikings, or anyone that would choose to employ Addison, is that he has now proven to be a liability. Next season Minnesota must choose to exercise their fifth year option. From a performance standpoint, that’s pretty straightforward.

While not Justin Jefferson, Addison has generated 2,396 yards and 22 touchdowns across his first 46 NFL games. 2025 was the first year he dipped below 50 yards per game though, and now he has additional baggage.
Addison likely sees himself as a number one wide receiver. It’s unlikely that he’ll find a payday to match that belief from Minnesota, or on the open market, because of how he carries himself. Maybe that means the Vikings keep him at a discount and bake in a babysitting clause to his next deal.
