Tanking Vikings Should Be Easy Sunday Lunch for Rodgers, Packers

As a Minnesota Vikings fan, we’re running out of things to look forward to as the 2020 season rolls on. That life will only get more difficult this week, when the purple roll into Green Bay to face Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

For those already in tank mode:

If you’re actively cheering for this team to lose every week going forward like I am, then week 8 is looking stress-free. Even at full-health the Vikings would be heavy underdogs on Sunday. With a completely tattered defense on the field vs Rodgers, 1-6 seems all but guaranteed.

The Vikings are going into Lambeau with nobody to play cornerback. That’s probably not a good thing vs Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones and DaVante Adams. Most wouldn’t consider that a “recipe for success”.

This Minnesota Vikings team has given up at least 23 points in every game and at least 30 points in four of six games. They gave up a season high 43 in week one against Green Bay and they will face them again this week, with less players available.

If you’re still holding onto lost dreams…

If you’re still cheering for Vikings victories then you’d better hope Jeff Gladney becomes Deion Sanders of this defense by noon on Sunday or I can’t imagine anything south of 150 and 2 TD’s out of DaVante Adams.

That’s before you even get into the Packers pass rush vs the Minnesota OL. Or how healthy Dalvin Cook is or Aaron Jones vs a purple front seven that has one healthy pre-covid starter…

For the sane fans of Vikings nation, missing Hughes, Dantzler, Hill, and the recently traded Ngakoue against Rodgers should be fun. It will certainly help the tank and that’s all we have at this point.
