Who is Conducting MN Vikings GM Interviews Revealed

The Minnesota Vikings are trying to find their next general manager, a process that has already taken longer than expected. But now, they have a reported list of ten candidates, all of which — other than interim GM Rob Brzezinski — are assistant general managers on other NFL teams.
| GM Candidate | Current Team | Current Role |
|---|---|---|
| *Ray Agnew | Lions | Assistant GM |
| *Chad Alexander | Chargers | Assistant GM |
| *Reed Burckhardt | Broncos | Assistant GM |
| RJ Gillen | 49ers | Assistant GM |
| Terrance Gray | Bills | Assistant GM |
| John McKay | Rams | Assistant GM |
| Kyle Smith | Dolphins | Assistant GM |
| Nolan Teasely | Seahawks | Assistant GM |
| Dave Ziegler | Titans | Assistant GM |
| Rob Brzezinski | Vikings | Assistant GM |
According to reports, the MN Vikings are holding virtual interviews this week, before they whittle the list down for in-person meetings. In other words, we aren’t going to have a new general manager in Minnesota for a little while, like Memorial Day, per ESPN’s Kevin Seifert (see below).
Minnesota Vikings doing this GM search different
Given where we are in the NFL calendar, and the competition he’s facing, the Vikings’ GM search certainly leans in Rob Brzezinski’s favor, but it’s possible that could change once the Wilfs start talking to some of these candidates.
And that brings me to the Minnesota Vikings’ interview team, which mostly consists of… Wilfs. Per Seifert, team COO Andrew Miller worked with TurnkeyZRG to help establish a preliminary list of candidates.
However, it’s Mark, Zygi and Leonard Wilf, along with “some of their adult children,” doing the heavy-lifting in virtual interview sessions early this week. The process could move to in-person meetings next week, before formal final interviews come in the final week of May.
And now, four years after a large internal committee steered the process that led them to hiring Adofo-Mensah in the first place, the Wilfs are keeping a close circle in the search for his replacement.
O’Connell and Miller have joined the Wilfs, and some of their adult children, in initial virtual interviews this week. It’s possible that there will be some meetings around next week’s NFL spring meeting, where the league is hosting its revamped accelerator program aimed at connecting coaching and general manager candidates with ownership.
If the process continues smoothly, a second round of formal interviews would take place in person during the final week of May.

Wilf children taking more prominent role with Vikings?
Who are these adult Wilf children who now hold the fate of our favorite football team in their hands, you might ask? Seifert doesn’t say for sure, but some quick research gives us the likely answers.
Almost certainly, we can assume that both Jonathan Wilf (son of Zygi) and Steven Wilf (son of Mark) are both heavily involved, being they are two of a few Wilf cubs who have official titles within the organization — both currently listed as Executive Vice Presidents.

Other Wilf children who are publicly listed by the Minnesota Vikings as part of the ownership group — above Andrew Miller on the team’s website — are Halle Wilf Oshinsky and Stephanie Wilf Kahn (daughters of Leonard), along with two more of Mark’s boys, Daniel Wilf and Jason Wilf.
Of course, we cannot know for sure which of the latest generation of Wilf offspring are directly involved in this week’s round of interviews, or who will meet with candidates in-person down the road. This, nonetheless, narrows it down.
