Former Viking Expecting Baby with Rap Superstar

The Minnesota Vikings have employed some characters over the years. Often it’s the wide receiver position that generates the most significant divas. That might be a bit lost on fans at this point given how even-keel Justin Jefferson remains.

Before Jefferson though, there was Stefon Diggs. Of course he was among the best receivers in franchise history. He will forever be thanked for the Minneapolis Miracle, and he was back in town this summer for joint practices with the New England Patriots. Diggs also finds a way to stay in the headlines and his new baby mama remains there as well.

This summer Stefon Diggs and Cardi B went viral for their now infamous video partying on a boat. The wide receiver didn’t face any discipline for his antics from the Patriots, and he remains together with the rapper. In fact, she just announced the pair are welcoming a baby.

Well, yes, I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. I’m excited, I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby. Me and my man, we’re very supporting of each other. We’re like in the same space in our careers. I feel like we’re really great, and one of the best at what we do. Me and him think the same way. Yeah, we’re one of the greatest, but what’s next?…We’re never like, comfortable.

Cardi B – CBS

The rapper shared the news with CBS Mornings host Gayle King. Diggs has yet to comment on the news, but this will be his first child. Cardi B has a new album, “Am I the Drama?” set to release on Friday September 19.

Diggs is working to establish a relationship with young quarterback Drake Maye. He has hauled in 10-of-12 targets for 89 yards through two games. This is his first season with the Patriots after spending last year with the Houston Texans.

Diggs spent five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. His 4,623 yards culminated in 30 touchdowns. The four-time Pro Bowl selection, and one-time All-Pro, is now in his 11th NFL season.
