For nearly a decade, from 2007-2016, Adrian Peterson, danced at the Minnesota Vikings line of scrimmage, before picking a hole and feasting on opposing defenses. Now, after being forced to call it quits (but not retire) on his NFL career, AP will “Dance with the Stars”, in the reality TV show’s 32nd season.

Adrian Peterson joins “Dancing with the Stars”

Other notables on this season’s DWTS roster include: Britney’s sister: Jamie Lynn Spears, Brady Bunch’s: Brady Williams, Actor: Matt Walsh, Actress: Alyson Hannigan, model: Tyson Beckford and singer: Jason Mraz.

Adrian Peterson ran for 14,918 yards and 120 touchdowns during his NFL career, which he spent with 7 different teams. Most of those (11,747 yards, 97 TDs) came as a member of the Minnesota Vikings. His last year in the NFL was 2021 but he hasn’t yet announced his official retirement from the league.

AP is, by far, the best running back to ever play for the Vikings, not just in terms of talent, but also production. His 11,747 career rushing yards with Minnesota is nearly 5,000 more than any other back in team history (Robert Smith – 6,818) and his 97 touchdowns nearly double Chuck Foreman and Bill Brown’s 52. Dalvin Cook is 4th in team history, with 47 TDs.

Now, we’ll find out if Peterson can dance on a wooden floor as well as he did on stadium grass/turf. AP is in it to win it. At least that’s what he said in one of the preview trailers released on Wednesday (below). The first episode airs on ABC September 26 at 7 PM CT. It will also stream live on Disney Plus.
