On Sunday the Minnesota Vikings will look to pull off their second straight upset victory. Despite being back at U.S. Bank Stadium, Kevin O’Connell’s squad is an underdog against the Baltimore Ravens. Jim Harbaugh’s team is coming in healthier than they have been all year, and Minnesota is trending positively as well.

That doesn’t mean O’Connell will have his full complement of starters. Aaron Jones said he was ready to go after exiting last weekend against the Lions. He held true to that prediction, but Jeff Okudah won’t be joining him.

Aaron Jones returns for Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota brought back Jones this offseason after he played in 17 games last year. A similarly clean bill of health was never likely, but Jones has battled to stay on the field. After exiting last weekend against Detroit and being questionable on the injury report, Jeremy Fowler says he’s expected to play.

Last weekend Aaron Jones carried the rock nine times for 78 yards and caught both of his targets for 20 yards. He then remained on the sideline for the rest of the game.

After spending four weeks on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, Jones has dealt with maladies to his toe and shoulder this week. If he can go as expected, it will be his fifth game of the year for Minnesota.

Although the availability has been limited, Jones is averaging 5.1 yards per carry. That’s his highest mark since 2022. On the season he has turned 27 carries into 139 yards. He’ll again assume a split role in the backfield along with Jordan Mason.

Veteran cornerback signed with Okudah heading to IR

Jeff Okudah is the second Minnesota Vikings player to suffer a pair of concussions this season. Like Ryan Kelly, Okudah is headed to injured reserve as he is still dealing with symptoms. That means veteran Fabian Moreau is now headed to the active roster.

Last season Moreau played in seven games for the Vikings. Signed to the practice squad at the beginning of the year, Sunday will be his third game of 2025.

Corey Kiner, who went undrafted out of Cincinnati, has been elevated to the active roster as well. He presents another option for the Vikings offense with Jones have a level of uncertainty to his status.
