Josh Donaldson Leaves Twins/Reds Game After One Inning
Sound the panic alarm, Josh Donaldson has left the Minnesota Twins vs Cincinnati Reds game after just one inning. We don’t know what is going on with Donaldson, but we’re all worried it is his calf acting up again. Hopefully, the Twins are just being extra cautious with him.
Josh Donaldson comes out of tonight's game after one inning (he popped up in bottom of 1st). Ehire Adrianza takes his place. Donaldson missed all of August with a calf injury.

Ehire Adrianza takes over in T2 for Josh Donaldson. Unclear what happened. #MNTwins

The Twins loaded the bases in the bottom of the first inning and Josh Donaldson did have one at-bat, where he popped out. Outside of that, we haven’t gotten anymore information on what is going on.

After about 20 minutes, we’re getting our first updates on Donaldson. It looks like it is his right calf again… The Twins are calling it a “cramp”, for now. There could have been worse news but no matter how severe, I wouldn’t expect them to say much more.
I highly doubt we see Josh Donaldson suit up the rest of this series. We really need him back for game one of the playoffs, next week.
Josh Donaldson left today with a right calf cramp. He is day-to-day.

Recall he missed a month with a right calf strain earlier this season.
