Joe Nathan Gets a Hall Call from Twins

Well, it finally happened. Former Minnesota Twins closer Joe Nathan was notified today that he will be taking his rightful place in the Hall of Fame!

….Oh you thought I meant Cooperstown?

Whoops. Nathan was inducted into the Twins Hall of Fame (I’m sure Eric changed my click-bait title so I fooled nobody) and will be immortalized among the great Twins players we’ve ever seen. Nathan was DOMINANT throughout his time in the “Closer” role and is the Twins all-time leader in saves with 260. Nathan pitched in some big games for the Twins but none more memorable than game 163 of 2009 vs the Tigers; one of the greatest games in Twins history.

 In the 9th inning of that game, Joe got himself into trouble but threw out a chair and a double-play to keep the inning scoreless and the game tied. What would happen over the next handful of innings would go down in MLB history as a great game.
