Byron Buxton Triples in Saints Debut

Some dude named Byron Buxton is making his debut for the Saint Paul Saints tonight. The Minnesota Twins are pretty high on this guy, even if he didn’t have a scoreboard profile picture when Tuesday’s game started at CHS Field. In the sixth inning, we saw why they’re so excited for Buxton‘s return. Facing an 0-1 count, Byron sat on a fastball and blasted it to the opposite field wall, before stretching out his hip-flexor and tearing up the infield on his way to 3rd base for a triple.

Inserting Byron Buxton into this Minnesota Twins lineup would be the equivalent of adding an early-season MVP candidate who plays a better centerfield than anyone else in baseball. He looks ready to me. Oh, and the Saints eventually found a (probably photoshopped) picture of Buxton in a Twins uniform for their scoreboard.
I can’t wait to see this dude at Target Field. I’m SURE he’s electric. The Saints also put out this very informative video on how to properly pronounce “Byron Buxton”.
For all the media out there, this is how you pronounce our new players name. pic.twitter.com/E8KVZ5lPEf
