Byron Buxton Playing Through Patella Tendonitis All Season; Out Today
Andrelton Simmons is returning to the Minnesota Twins lineup today but Byron Buxton will not be there with him. Rocco Baldelli told media today that Buxton is out with Patella Tendonitis (knee soreness), something he’s been dealing with for much of the season. Buck has dealt with injuries his entire career, one of them being a left-knee contusion in 2016.
Byron Buxton is out of today's lineup with patella tendinitis, which is basically knee soreness. Been a manageable issue for much of the season, Rocco Baldelli said.

Baldelli indicated Buxton could be available off the bench and the Twins are hoping he'll be ready to go Tuesday.
