The newest version of the popular video game, MLB The Show, is set to release on March 28 (on the 24th if you preorder), exactly two weeks from today. But we don’t have to wait until then to know what Minnesota Twins’ star Byron Buxton’s overall rating will be.

Byron Buxton’s overall rating revealed

It was the official Twins social media account that tweeted out Buxton’s rating, along with a video where they let Byron guess at what a few of his individual skills are rated, along with a video clip of Buck trying to guess his overall rating, along with a couple of his individual skill ratings.

He guesses a 92 overall, it’s actually 93, which Byron was happy to hear was that high. His power vs right-handed pitchers is a 99 overall and so is his fielding. Those were the only skills ratings they included in his reveal. In real life, we are still waiting on Byron Buxton’s spring training debut.

Team and other MLB The Show player ratings

When The Show releases, the Minnesota Twins will rank as the 13th best team in the MLB. That includes 4th in team defense and 6th in team power.

Carlos Correa has just an 89 overall rating, which seems to cut him tragically short. That includes a contact vs RHP of 85 and 95 arm strength. After Correa and Buxton, the overall ratings drop off drastically.

(RP) Jhoan Duran, who’s throws harder than anyone else in the game (100.8 MPH), and (SP) Joe Ryan are tied for 3rd highest on the team, with 83. That seems low for one of the most dominant bullpen pitchers in baseball. (SP) Pablo Lopez opens with the 5th-highest rating an 81 overall.

Here’s the entire reveal show, which was streamed live on YouTube. The Twins are featured from the 1:27:00 mark to the 1:31:25 mark.
