Byron Buxton Blew Minds on Social Media Today With Impossible Speed and Five Hits
Minnesota Twins fans have watched Byron Buxton blossom this April and his emergence is something we’ve been salivating for since he was drafted in 2012, quickly becoming baseball’s #1 overall prospect. But today, the internet world got to know Buck on another level. He went 5 for 5 in a game that was streamed live on YouTube and led the Twins to a 10-2 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

This afternoon’s game was featured as YouTube’s “Game of the Week” and Byron was sensational. He came a triple away from the cycle and started the game with a leadoff homerun. There was one double that would have been a single for anyone else in the MLB and one single that would have been an out (see both below).
