I cannot believe I am writing this without a sarcastic undertone or so much doubt that you stop reading by the second paragraph…
I’m becoming convinced that the Timberwolves are going to pull off this D’Angelo Russell deal. They are meeting with him at the start of free agency right away tomorrow, with a contingency that includes KAT, Rosas, and Saunders. Here, I’ll show you the source before I move on to the crazier stuff.

Yahoo Sources: Minnesota Timberwolves to meet with Brooklyn Nets restricted free agent D’Angelo Russell with a contingent expected to include franchise player Karl-Anthony Towns. https://t.co/r9olytBt0x

There are a couple different ways for the Wolves to clear the necessary cap to sign Russell to what will likely be a max-deal. Anything that doesn’t include Andrew Wiggins is likely to include 2 of 3 contracts, when it comes to Jeff Teague, Gorgui Dieng, and Robert Covington.
I’ve been tweeting about this for the last couple of days but, if the Timberwolves are going to have their three max players be KAT, Wiggins, and Russell… there wasn’t anything for me to be excited about. Those three aren’t bringing the Wolves to any type of promised land.
However, the noise surrounding Andrew Wiggins has reached a deafening level. Not only are the trade rumors swirling, as if they’ve been caught in a hurricane, but Andrew Wiggins’ actual trade value is apparently skyrocketing (by some divine miracle)…

The Minnesota Timberwolves are confident they’ll find a trade partner for Andrew Wiggins, per league sources.

Multiple teams have heard that Minnesota is confident that they can trade Andrew Wiggins this summer. Doing so could open up the cap space necessary to sign D'Angelo Russell, who is tight with Karl-Anthony Towns. https://t.co/97qfsxL0Xd

Legit think that someone is going to talk themselves into Wiggins to the point that Minnesota doesn’t really end up having to add assets to him to get off of a contract that might legit be 60M under water. https://t.co/9fJ6oAO9vi

I don’t know what the fuck is happening and this news isn’t yet being broken or stregthened by guys like Jon Krawczynski, Shams, or Woj but these reports definitely aren’t coming from nobody’s…
If Gersson Rosas finds a way to trade Andrew Wiggins and replace his contract with D’Angelo Russell…. then he deserves streets, avenues, and stadiums all named after him before this season even starts. Give him whatever else he wants too. Blowjobs, ice cream, more money, ownership of the team, first born sacrifices of all the Taylor family… WHATEVER THE FUCK HE WANTS.
