Tom Thibodeau Fired; Fred Hoiberg “Serious Consideration” as GM or Head Coach

Minnesota has fired President and Coach Tom Thibodeau, league source tells ESPN.

Now, had this firing taken place at the end of the season (especially had the Wolves not made the playoffs) then nobody would have their shocked face on. However, axing Tom now is quite the maneuver.

But, could there be outside motivation? 

You know your friend, who is just really obsessed with her boyfriend even though her man is a complete dirtbag from shitville? She stays with him for years and you just aren’t sure why… 

Until that one day. All of a sudden, she’s not so attached. Could there be someone else already you wonder? Well, where there’s smoke there’s fire they say.

Fred Hoiberg is a serious consideration of Minnesota owner Glen Taylor to become either the GM or head coach in the future, league sources tell ESPN. Hoiberg was an assistant GM in Minnesota prior to Iowa State. Scott Layden remains GM now.
