KAT has Historic Performance Wednesday and All He Wanted After was Some Guilt-Free Gaming

When discussing the Timberwolves recent loss to the woeful Grizzlies, PG Jeff Teague referred to the eight-point defeat as this season’s “worst loss.” For Teague and his teammates, another Target Center-hosted contest offered a shot at redemption. Minnesota, just like Mason Verger in Hannibal, desperately needed to gain some face:

While Wednesday’s contest vs. Atlanta was closer than one would have liked, Tom Thibodeau’s squad hopped back into the win column. I shouldn’t have referred to the Wolves as Thib’s team. When it came to the 126-114 victory over Atlanta, Karl-Anthony Towns ran the show.

As for Towns, he finished the proverbial gold medal performance; 19-32 from the field, 6-8 from three and 12-for-15 from the stripe. In addition to all of the buckets, the 2015 draft’s first overall selection also secured 15 rebounds. For comparison purposes, ESPN looked to the one and only, Shaquille O’Neal:
