Karl-Anthony Towns’ Wrist is Fractured; Out Two Weeks

In a not-shocking-at-all development, Karl-Anthony Towns has been ruled out for the next two weeks due to a wrist injury that only started costing him games, just before the All-Star break.

Back then, we were told that MRI’s and whatever other tests they ran on this same wrist, all came back negative, but they needed a second opinion. Now, it’s fractured. I’m not a doctor, but I don’t know that many people that need a second doctor to find a wrist fracture…

When the two weeks is up, I’m fully expecting the Timberwolves to find another reason to sit him out OR that they will announce a plan to sit him the rest of the season to recover from that wrist and other lingering issues he’s dealt with this season.

We’ll never find out if the Timberwolves are low-key tanking, but I’ll continue to say they are because it’s the smart thing to do and I believe this is a very smart front office.

It was very important for the Timberwolves to keep their 2020 draft picks when they were wheeling and dealing at the trade deadline. It just makes sense, that they’d want that pick to be as high up the board as possible.

Let the tanking continue!
