On Friday, the Minnesota Timberwolves will return to play, following the 2026 NBA All-Star Break. Mike Conley is back and Anthony Edwards has new ASG MVP hardware for his trophy case.

Meanwhile, Wolves head coach Chris Finch has decisions to make with the rotation, now that newly acquired Ayo Dosunmu and Conley will both be available to him.

It also meant Minnesota needed to clear a roster spot, which they did Wednesday evening, waiving 24-year-old former Kentucky Wildcat sharpshooter, Johnny Juzang.

The Minnesota Timberwolves signed Johnny Juzang over the offseason, to provide additional wing depth for the organization. When he got his opportunities, Juzang struggled to take advantage, shooting just 25% from deep on the season, a career-low.

That’s a problem when shooting the three ball is exactly why are are still in the league. Juzang played in just 21 of Minnesota’s first 56 games this season, averaging a measly 2.0 points on 4.2 minutes per game.

Last season with the Jazz, Juzang averaged a career-high 19.8 minutes per game, delivering 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game as a vital piece of Utah’s bench. Of course, it’s worth noting that the 2024-25 Jazz went 17-65 and finished 15th in the Western Conference.
