Mike Zimmer Denies Dalvin Cook Has Torn Labrum
It was a rough weekend for the Minnesota Vikings, who not only lost to the San Francisco 49ers but also lost their star running back, Dalvin Cook, to what we thought was a torn labrum. At least, that’s what was reported (NFL.com, The Athletic). But on Monday afternoon, Mike Zimmer spoke with media and denied the supposed diagnosis and the alleged timetable of weeks, claiming Cook to be “day to day”.

Mike Zimmer doesn’t care how many reports confirmed Dalvin Cook’s injury. True or not, he’s denying all rumors on his injury diagnosis. Torn labrum? No. Weeks to recover? No. Dislocated shoulder? Zim’s not telling.
Contrary to what Dr. Zimmer is telling everyone though, a new report from Adam Schefter doubles down on a week-to-week timetable. While Adam Schefter didn’t go as far as to call it a labrum tear, he reported just moments ago that Cook’s “shoulder injury” will cause him to miss at least the next two games. Just slightly different than the “day-to-day” timetable Zimmer claimed.
Vikings’ RB Dalvin Cook (shoulder) is expected to miss at least the next two games – Sunday at Detroit and the following Thursday against Pittsburgh – with the hope being that he can return the next week for the Monday night Dec. 20 game at Chicago, per source.
